They were an evolution of the 'flying brick' K100, and never really caught on in the UK as they were expensive and relatively slow...Never a big seller anywhere, truth be told.

I thought it was a great looking bike. If ever there was a bike to epitomise 80's style then the K1 was probably it.

It was heavy for a sports bike which blunted its performance, so wouldn't be too much for most riders.

Rode one - not my cup of tea but interesting.

Just to clarify GIGFY's post - I was an instructor, then an examiner, but not anymore. I worked in the UK motorcycle industry between 1996 and 2022. I made a complete career change last year.
What do you do now? If you don't mind me asking. Feel free to tell me to go forth :)

That Panigale is an achingly pretty bike, I just know how much it would hurt me to ride it 🤣

They are lovely and actually really easy to ride compared to the older stuff with a trellis frame.

I’ve had two panigales now and they are great for the road. Actually could ride one all day which is a rarity for a sports bike.

Oh well , the buyer is sorting the funds as we speak so it’s a sad day but with a new baby I’ve taken the decision to take a break from motorbikes and have another fast car as it’s safer
