** Show us your Modern/retro Kona **

Here’s my 94 kona firemountain I got it from a guy during lockdown who had built it up but was too small for him . He had used modern dh parts so I set about removing them and replacing with period parts the forks stayed until last weekend when I changed them for what I would say is the fork I always wanted during the 90’s the lovely answer manitou 4 . Bike has stx rc front and rear derailleurs shimano deore wheelset though I was hit by a car and the hub was ruined so now has a xero front wheel . Stx chainset and kalloy uno bars and stem

You’re doing a great job with that, it looks stunning. Have you ridden it with the manitou’s yet? They look perfect on it, I think you’ve made me want some. Please tell me they feel awful lol

That’s looks amazing 👍 I feel inspired to try a bit of that. How do you find the tarp and hammock set up? Is sleeping in the hammock easy or a knack to be learned?

It was very easy to be honest I thought I’d be out on my arse first time but it’s good once you’re in it wraps around you like a cacoon the tarp hangs over quite a bit so keeps me dry I was out last week in the wind and rain I basically just hung everything low to the ground and it was great
