I'm still totally loving my Mount Vision. I took her out for an epic (by my puny standards) 85 km ride yesterday in the Valongo area just inland from Porto. This bike really eats up the kilometres, and contrary to my long held prejudices about full suspension, I'm not only faster going downhill, but going faster uphill as well (except on road, of course). Must be the extra traction from the rear suspension.

I know, but I could only get an in-line post in the right size.

I might try a stem with a bit of rise at some point, but for the moment the front height is just about at the limit of what I can comfortably ride.

I guess it's fair to say the problem is the rider being too tall, not the bike. In photos I look like I'm riding an off road Brompton

Re:

My 1997 Marin Mt Vision a couple of non stock parts but fairly faithful to the original spec, a mate bought it as an ex demo in 1997 and I rescued it from him in about 1999 when he upgraded to the latest model with discs.

^^^ lovely!

Does anyone know whether the retro Mount Visions ever came in a size larger than 19 inch? 21 inch (XL?) would be ideal. I'm finding my 19 incher to be borderline too small, only apparent during 7 h / 80 km rides.
