Show us your....Ibis

Great bike, build and scenery 😍

How's the ride with this suspension design?
When riding you shouldn't sit still when climbing but I only ride along the beaches and to the downtown...so it's hard to say more, except that it looks very very nice this way and is flexible when sitting

Hello everyone,
I’m new here on Retro Bike. This is actually my first post here on the forum. I’m really a roadie but own one mountain bike I built years ago. 26 years to be exact. I’m originally from Berkeley Ca. Raced for the BBC. Cat 3 road, Cat 4 track. Riding a bunch of Colnago. Now retired living in northern New York.
Anyway, back to my only MTB. It’s an Ibis bow-Ti built with an XTR group with the exception of Sweet Parts Sweet Wings crank set and Chris King hubs. Team Issue Rock Shox SID w/black box carbon steerer w/fork lockout. Bontrager race lite rims, titanium tie tide spokes and Michelin tires.
It’s Not a wall hanger. I do ride it. Here’s a few pics of my “Ibis”…

Cheers,
~Earl J

My newest bike (Colnago Carbonissimo) is now 20 years old. My C40 is 30 years old. The others are older still. My track bike is a Schwinn Paramount (P13) from 1964. I’m 68.
More to come.
