Show us your....Ibis

My track bike is a Schwinn Paramount (P13) from 1964.
That would be lovely to see as well, but probably in another thread to avoid derailment. They made some fine bikes with the Paramount badge. Curious about where in Northern NY you are from, I'm in Ontario, just across the border from Massena

Hello JCS & 24pounces,

Thank you. Being new here, Iā€™m still trying to navigate this forum. Where and how to post topics in the appropriate topic area. I donā€™t want to hijack this Ibis thread. Moderator can move this post accordingly.

Thanks
Earl J

This is my Ibis (insert model, but I think it was called 'Custom'?). I say circa 1991/92? Suntour SE Pederson brakes, Bullseye crank, Cameron stem/bar, Syncros, Flight sadle etc...

My resto-mod Bow Ti:

Hello pete_mcc,
Did you send your Bow-Ti back to Ibis to have it modified for the rear disk brake mount? I considered that but decided to leave it as originally designed with the rim brake.
One last question. Your front wheel and fork appear to be larger than a 26ā€. Is that front wheel a 27 or 29ā€?

Cheers

Here is my 1992 Mojo one-off as it was built up by the person I sold it to. It was originally outfitted with full DX, AC skewers and that glorious Action-Tec fork. Ibis have apparently agreed that it was one of one. Presumably the person who ordered it was broke after ticking the box for the fork, so he had only enough left to opt for the DX buildā€¦ Other than the fork it seems to be standard for a first-year Mojo, including the paint. This one was likely made in late 1992 judging by the presence of the infamous ā€œcable stopā€ā€¦ It was a $60 USD purchase that I lovingly restored before someone I knew called dibs on it. Was gonna be donated to a homeless person, only because the seatpost was slightly seizedā€¦ Not on my watch, sorry!

Hey there, sorry I missed this!

I sent it to Steve Potts to do the work. He works closely with John Castellano and knows exactly what to do to have it like new again.
The great thing is a disc works so much better than a canti. Cantis have a habit of pushing the seat stays apart, particularly on Bow-ā€˜Tis so this mod is worth it.

Front wheel is 26ā€ using low travel DT Swiss forks

Hope that helps!
