show us your gt's

I like it. Very similar to mine apart from a few details.

I went with a black post to break up some of the silver which may be worth a look (match stem too)
Like this one you mean 😁…?! The silver one is for “riding” purposes only, it a zoom. The syncros one is for show use only, as comes with the standard cracked top collar!!!! I’ll be taking more photos with the syncros fitted.

😍 wow, this looks great, the nice basis
(to me the Ladies frame)
View attachment 885222
the nice new lacquer
and also the build, with GT saddle, hub and LP5 tires (are they any good?).
It was advertised as a ladies frame, but I'm told old to care these days  . I like the geometry, it rides well. It's my heaviest bike by almost a kilogram!!, but it rolls nicely on those hubs. The tyres seem pretty good but only had one test ride on it so far.

Loving your new (but pretty old) girlies frame!!! Cracking spray job on that, literally!!! 😍😎

Assume it rides like a smooth rolling tank?

Where/how did you come across that? Must be pretty damn rare

I've saw about 3 last year, but not since. I also had a Talera of similar vintage (90) and frame geometry (girlie) , but the frame was cracked under the chain stay (which was hard to understand - given how solid it was) I was talking to a friend about it who said that he was sure there was a similar bike in his Dad's barn/shed., Several months later a pretty rusty blue Blue Timberline arrived in his boot from Gloucestershire. The Timberline is Ishiwata tubing, so it is a little bit lighter than the Tange Talera. Not that you'd really notice.

It was marketed as a ladies version, but it is interesting to notice that the geometry is similar to many unisex bikes of later years,

I've only taken it out for one test ride so far... but yes, it is exactly like a smooth tank. :)

I wouldn't have thought many pre 90s GT's made it to the UK?

So there can't be many 80s GT MTB's in the UK at all...

👆I've only said that on purpose so I can now be bombarded by loads of cool 80s GT MTB's that are in the UK! ;)

I found in my servis old saddle...... in red ....
