Like this one you meanI like it. Very similar to mine apart from a few details.
I went with a black post to break up some of the silver which may be worth a look (match stem too)

My re-imagined '89 Timberline. New paint job and a bit of an XT upgrade ;-)

I want that cruiserjust because those 80ties GT bikes are so nice,

the nice new lacquer
and also the build, with GT saddle, hub and LP5 tires (are they any good?).
I've saw about 3 last year, but not since. I also had a Talera of similar vintage (90) and frame geometry (girlie) , but the frame was cracked under the chain stay (which was hard to understand - given how solid it was) I was talking to a friend about it who said that he was sure there was a similar bike in his Dad's barn/shed., Several months later a pretty rusty blue Blue Timberline arrived in his boot from Gloucestershire. The Timberline is Ishiwata tubing, so it is a little bit lighter than the Tange Talera. Not that you'd really notice.Loving your new (but pretty old) girlies frame!!! Cracking spray job on that, literally!!!
Assume it rides like a smooth rolling tank?
Where/how did you come across that? Must be pretty damn rare
I wouldn't have thought many pre 90s GT's made it to the UK?I've saw about 3 last year, but not since. It was marketed as a ladies version, but it is interesting to notice that the geometry is similar to many unisex bikes of later years,
I've only taken it out for one test ride so far... but yes, it is exactly like a smooth tank.![]()
