Show us yer FSR's

Got my Float R adapters from Mojo, 32mm front and 40mm rear, they supplied the new plastic bushing type, which i dont really have a problem with as the its the same that the early FSR comes with anyway on its rear linkages, but..........

£30 for some small plastic parts hurts a little IMHO.

Fitted to the bike and loaded the bike up on the car to a local`ish woods with a dedicated proper MTB trail (Chopwell Woods) arrive and dohhhhhhhhhhh, my rear pressure is miles off, i had about 60-70% sag. And i had given my old shock pump away to the chap that bought my old Boardman HT Pro as a deal sweatener.

I still did what has been the boggiest, most energy sapping run i have ever done, heavy rain meant most stuff was a swamp :D it took me 1 hours 22mins to do 5.5 miles  most of the inclines i had to walk/slip/grab onto stuff to get up.

But i still got out on the bike and coming back down was great :D

What front derailer are you using ? Got one but doesn't fit (deraiiler too small)

Depends on the model FSR and whether it has the cable widget thingy.
the early ones didn't have the widget which means with a regular swing front mech the cable is at an acute angle that does cut into the cable stop.

However using a top swing mech is really anal to setup due to the position of the cable clamp bolt.

I use an Shimano XTR M960 top swing on mine and had to set the limit screw so that the cage was holding position over the middle ring clamped the cable and then fettled with it until it shifted properly.

So, had a couple of rides now with the Fox Float R fitted to the bike instead of an old Fox Vanilla or RockShox Deluxe, i have noticed a HUGE improvement in the bike, particularly on climbs (this must be the newfangled propedal thing)

I am seriously impressed on how well it seams to have transformed my bike, wish i had of fitted one years ago!

Amazing what difference a good shock makes.

Re:

Well after deciding I liked mine too much to sell I spent some money tarting up the front end. Grips bars stem and red stackers courtesy of planet x all for the princely sum of 24 quid
