P7 rust issues

I can measure mine today, and have a “large” and “medium” - Alternatively the catalogues are on here somewhere.

Iirc they were sized 15,17,19,21
This looks like a 17, and You might find a 17 a little small.

For the rust on the frame people have used tin foil, white vinegar, fine wire wool, all sorts. It's a satin chrome plate with a lacquer and just like any coated material, as soon as there's chips, rust will follow

Not chrome but nickel plated.
Chrome plating is always porous, rusts round the back and flakes, nickel generally is better but still suffers.
