Man, I envy the green model so much :(

I agree, I love the green color. My wife on the other hand thinks it's horrible. Which is unfortunate for her because the bike is residing in our living room!

That's hilarious. Believe me I can relate. We have been living in an apartment the last few years and I have probably bought, overhauled and sold about 30 bikes during that time (mostly old road bikes, and 80's mountain bikes). And all of the bikes have been worked on and have stayed in the house for some duration. At times I have had several on my side of the bed.

Lately though I have slowed down on bike buying and selling and have just kept a few of my favorites. I have even gotten a storage unit so I only have one road bike and one mountain bike in the house at the moment.

Btw: my FSR is the most modern bike I own by more than ten years! It's very high tech by my standards!!

Just put a new air shock on it today, just waiting for the correct lower mounting/bushing kit to arrive hopefully on friday so I can ride it again :D

Should give the old girl a new lease of life, and hopefully a bit of a performance hit from the (original) knackered Rock Shox coupe deluxe!

Thinking of getting the BETD linkage if i can find one anywhere :(

you might be best to flip your shock the other way - mens you can still top it up with air/adjust the damping on the go (its what i did with mine - but i also need the gonzo valve adapter too)
i love that green - reminds me of the Kawazaki KMX :)

Re:

I tried, but it does not quite fit in linkage.
I actually had to grind down the rebound knob to make it fit as it is. I do have access to the air valve, but you are right. the rebound is just too tucked away.
Thats why i am after the BETD linkage to let me flip it around :)

ahhh, i see - my Fox RP3 shock doesnt foul the linkage luckily, but i've had to file off the lockout/preload/open lever as it fouled the back end of the linkage when locked out :/
these frames were clearly not designed in the era of adjustable rear shocks ;)
the gonzo valve i have is a neat addition though. would love a BETD linakge too, but you'd have better luck coming across those shark fins! think i'll be saving my dosh to get it from BETD either that, or you'll need to buy a frame that has it and break the parts....i think it also means you can go for a longer eye-to-eye which helps, as the 165mm shocks aren't as readily available as longer ones. i could be wrong though.
