Re:

I agree with all the above, if in this instance it never ripped your testicles off then you really should have another go at it  . Post up on the Mountain Cycle facebook page and try to find another front triangle, maybe even a bigger one that fits.

Re:

Ha ha ha yeah why trouble the nhs for the snip just use some stickybacked tape and a bamboo truss and youll be good to go.

Ouch ZZ, you're a lucky man, no need to re-test that theory, new front triangle in bigger size or a longer seatpost/

Ach, it never really fitted me properly - another expensive lesson learned in trying to make a bike fit the rider.

Bloody things are like hen's teeth, can't imagine there's any more than a handful left in the UK.

Zigzag

Speak to Danson76 he's just finished repairing the Manitou FS and I was put onto him by his Pace repair for another forum member which involved quite a bit of work....

Could even get a longer ST put in there plus maybe some reinforcement / gussetry?

gussetry?

A like that word
Its an odd word indeed ,always raises a smile. Bit too risque for the carry on films though.

Needless to say i left with a faded red 32h Ti-Glide and fatso complete with a pair of blue USE Ti skewers
Internals EEK  previous owners been lubing it with 3in1 , weekly
