Good question Clubby. It was a toss up tbh, but when it came down to it I think SS is 'da bomb'! So it makes sense to have the lighter frame on the SS rather than the geared 29er. I expect I'll ride the SS more as well. The gears are really just for those few rides when I think I'll need them but still want the comfort of a chubby 29er rather than my skinny 29er, or the full fatness of the moonie. :LOL:
 
BTW have you been readin the MTB magazines the consensus of opinion is that the 29'ers are
on the decline in favor of 650 :mrgreen: getthatupyeah!
