Most recently fitted EZ fire shifters are V brake cable pull - millions of bikes were sold screw- on 7 speed freewheel, cheap vbrakes.
Those levers often live on.
(almost) all 7 speed pods were the same great quality, but often branded to fit in with the 7 speed groupset like acera, alivio etc.
The sti units carried higher groupset subbrands, stx, lx, xt.
Given you've got the original cantis, maybe you should look for LX 7x stis like the OE?
