I can't believe they want to give you all those *powers* where in reality you're still only the population of Yorkshire and we get screwed just as much.
Shouldn't we get similar abilities to screw ourselves ?

I thought you already had those powers

Re:

The total number of votes was 3619915.

2,001,926 is roughly 23.7% more than 1,617,989 indeed.

But the difference, 383937, is only 10.6% odds of the total.

Not a huge margin by any measure, and small enough to give succour to the new SNP under a new leader, as well as all the other YES campaigners who feel short changed already as we hear talk of Westminster reneging on their promises.

Not the end of the matter by any means, and next time we will take a good chunk from those NO voters who fell for Wesminster's schtick.

God help Westminster if they return a Tory UKIP marriage at the next election!

No, they only gave us the powers to screw Goats.

Still, there are much worse people than the Scots - like Southerners, Geordies, people from Wigan, golfers (although there is some overlap there), BMW drivers, SUV drivers, fanatical Star Wars fans, reality TV watchers - and, oh yes, people who ride Carreras. The bastards!

That's if there is a next time, I don't think there will be, Salmond has flounced off with his tail between his legs and it took him 20 years of work to get that referendum, just goes to prove he wanted to be king rather than independence & more decision powers for Scotland. Why walk away now when he could fight & help create those decision making powers?
Also keep your eyes peeled for his biography that will be in the shops soon and will make a killing if 1.6 million scots buy it, which they won't.
