i am not a freak sci-fi nut but i do love some stuff, back in the day, maybe 15 ish years ago channel 4 was playing a series called BABYLON 5, i assume some/most of you will know of it.

i liked it because it was an ongoing story and you needed to watch all of it for parts to make sense, if you missed something then later episodes would be confusing

when i watched it i'm sure they didn't play all of the series on TV, also i'm sure i missed some but recently the FX channel had been playing some of it and it sort of re-ignighted my interest

so yesterday this arrived

There was a local pub my father in law nicknamed babylon 5  . Must admit to being a bit of a Star Trek fan. Was never bothered until I got sky and started watching Voyager, mmm Seven of 9

B5 comes a vey close 2nd to BSG as the best SCI FI TV series ever.

It can be a dangerous place, but it's our last, best hope for peace

I really liked B5 well apart from the travesty that was season 5 Boxleitners hair hah. It's a shame that they lost the CG models and didn't invest in getting them rebuilt it wouldn't have taken anywhere near as long or been as expensive. Hell they would've probably had to start from scratch anyway and used the actual programmes as a reference more than the seriously outdated meshes.

I was never really a big tv fan, so missed a lot of the stuff I am discovering now, but my claim to fame with the new wave of star wars know it alls, is I watched the very first one, A new Hope at the cinema, and that followed by the other two, then I lost interest, the cgi stuff seemed to have lost something, but now I am back with it, all is forgiven.

Star Trek, I wasn't a fan as a kid, but I am sort of now and Battlestar Galactica was always on tv, about teatime on a saturday evening. Later stuff I got into was LEXX and Farscape,(muppets in space)

But my all time favourite sci fi film, is Dune. Never really saw the tv series of it though. Other notables are Final Fantasy- the spirits within and now Avatar.

Watched the latest Star Trek movie again last night. And jolly good it is too.
