The Hundredth Idiot
Dirt Disciple
I have an old road frame and forks (no idea of maker) which I'm happy to give to anyone willing to pick up from Haywards Heath, Sussex. I've attached a few photos.
It was a barn find - a friend was going to take it to the skip (he hadn't ridden it since university and it had been sat in one of his barns ever since). I said I would see if I could do it up but
a) it's too big for me - it's about a 60cm frame; and
b) the fork threads seem to be stripped so I can't get the headset to tighten- no idea whether that was my cackhandedness in taking it to bits or whether it was an existing problem.
I've thrown away bits such as wheels, derailleurs, etc (as the years had not been kind) but the frame itself seems sound. There are some surface rust spots but nothing that looks serious. The BB and headset have been removed, cleaned and greased. I could probably find the seat post, stem, chainset/cranks, bars, brake levers and brakes as they are in my shed and it isn't that big a shed!
Let me know if you're interested.
Cheers
