Suffering from a heavy cold thats had me bed bound for the past 24 hours. I'm suppose to be doing the Whinlatter challenge tomorrow! If i'm feeling better is it a good idea to try it?

I had a friend that did a game a squash while ill with bad cold, the next day he was in hospital and stayed there for a few weeks. Can't remember what it was but it was cos he did sport while ill and he was touch and go at one point.

you'll probably be able to do it but you'll be down on energy, so pacing yourself will be the best option.

Check your symptoms before you go, and then talk to a medic if you have further doubts before starting.

One person's 'heavy cold' is very different from another's.

I've been known to ride when I have a cold - it opens up the tubes nicely!
Well - nicely for me - not for anyone else around as I spend most of the ride snotting and gobbing
But it clears the tubes nicely - and have felt much netter afterwards.
Caveat - not ridden with a heavy cold

Thanks chaps, sme sound advice there. I'm still having hot sweats and sneezing fits so i'm going to give it a miss.

On the positive side I have an entry going spare, free to anyone who can make use of it. PM me if interested.

I think that is wise. You just never know, my mate recently had a heart problem and it was diagnosed as a virus, he thought it was over and took a night on the drink and almost died.

A friend of mine died after going running when ill also.

See, I CAN walk away. ;)
