yer it's the aluminium version of that. fairly sure it's a legit Elite cage, but I took the buttons out of it years ago and I've no idea where they are now.

A reverse retro mod you say. I'm pondering just that on a Dawes Sardar from about 2003 that has had a hard life - most of the components are completely worn out, rims included and now that I have finally got one of those dreaded stuck seatposts out I need to find a suitable set of parts to use, most of my stash of parts are not Dawes Sardar period correct.

I'm running my gravel bike friction now (tiagra 4600 and gevenalle style set up at shifter) and it is so smooth - don't know if I'll ever go back.
