I saw this photo and wondered what other retro mtb parts live on attached to much more modern mtbs/rigs/sleds/Enduro weapons/gnar machines* etc

(The guy that put this together knows a thing or two about bikes though ).

Just realised the bike is actually a retro bike.Doh!

I did see someone on a recent ride using a Thumbshifter in friction mode for the gears on their modern Mtb though....

bar ends, carbon bullmoose bars and XT BL-M739 v-brake levers on a V1 Ibis Ripley. Does that count? Oh yeah, original Selle Italie Flite vanadium saddle as well.

and before you freak out, I have specialized bar end reinforcement plugs installed to support the handlebar.
