So, for a number of years I’ve hankered for a 90’s Claud Butler jersey, one of these;

And one day my patience was rewarded with one appearing on ebay… advertised as large…
I wasn’t disappointed in the condition, but as you can see, this “Large” jersey is a comfortable fit for a 12-year-old, but not for someone of my proportions…. :cry:

Never mind, it’s a nice bit of retro and my lad was well chuffed with it. I thought maybe I could get one made up but soon discovered one offs are a bit pricey, and only really possible if you can supply artwork, none of the companies wanted to get into ‘art working’ then Regan started the Mountain Mayhem jersey thread and this got me thinking…could I sneak a bespoke jersey on the back of the big Mayhem order?
I didn’t know Regan from Adam, so I wasn’t sure how he would respond to my PM asking for help.
Anyway, cutting a long story short, and after a bunch of photos and chats about not being able to exactly copy the fabric, or the panelling we got to a happy compromise;

In my opinion, I think Regan did a cracking job…. Me and the lad had a cracking evenings ride..

Peachy, thanks for bringing me on board this project. Allowing me to make this and to help you realise that dream has been really fantastic and an absolute pleasure.

Those side-by-side shots look great. The dark blue on the repro jersey will probably lighten up with a few Daz Ultra washes! The lighter blue, yellow and red are a great match though. :cool:

Take rightful pride in wearing it mate and keep living the dream! Dad and son on matchy-matchy retro bikes and matchy-matchy jerseys is as cool as it gets! :D

Re:

That is awesome! Looks like a really good repro jersey.
Many happy matching rides ahead I imagine :)

Yes, very very pleased... if you look closely the stitching/cut of the shoulder panels is different, but Regan transposed the design in a way that echoed the original.

YOU may know where the differences are. - it to others they look identical and perhaps just one year apart

Flip it on it head and say one is an impostor and ask folk to tell you which one - it would come down to pure chance and a very lucky guess if you got it right.

Please for yah - and also the fact you’ve got something no-one else has

Unless Mark orders one through Regan! Which is cool because he put a lot of time in gratis....

Now this is really cool. Well done, I'm sure I won't be able to tell the difference. And after all, what would it matter? You both have an iconic shirt + bike. Enjoy

If Mark (mkone) wants one it’ll have to be the PeachyPM version :LOL:
