Raleigh titanium seatpost size?

Also bear in mind you usually have a 0.1-0.2 smaller size between actual ID of seattube and seatpost to allow it to slide friction free/smear of grease/friction paste etc. As said is 100% a 30.0mm fitment with the factory shim. Also bear in mind the factory alloy shim may have been subjected to wear/crushing so that maybe why you are getting smaller sizes.
 
I have a team ti from around 93/4 and it requires a 30.0 post. I have a nice thompson fitted now, but have also had a 30.0 syncros in there before I changed the build.

It would seem that perhaps different models take different sizes? I've seen the same on other bikes, some took 26.8, others took 27.0 and according to info I've read, it was simply down to availability of tubing at the time. This was info online so how true it is I can't say.

You also could be getting into tolerance territory. I've had seat posts stamped the size I needed but when measured were .1 or .2mm off either way.
