A little more progress has been made on the RRA.
Although I’d bought the lovely Torbado saddle, an original RRA saddle appeared on eBay, so I grabbed it. Then the seller messaged me and told me he was just about to list a bars and stem combo with original bar tape and Milremo bar plugs. I’d just finished the bars with my newly purchased soft bar tape and was happy with the result, after checking out the listing I’d been told about I liked the look of the combo and bought that too, the price was very good. The bars arrived today and are now on the bike and look great. The brake levers have been fitted to the clips sitting under the bar tape and I managed to persuade the tape back over the lever bodies as it was originally. The hoods I chose to use were some tan Dia-Compe, they fitted much better than the others I had earmarked for the job. The colour matches the tan wall tyres I plan to use once the wheels have been tackled. I’ll try to get a few pics of the progress up tomorrow evening.
