Without doubt? If you say so, perhaps you would like to explain why you are convinced it is a RRA and not a Moderne? All three bikes pictured so far in this thread are, without doubt, RRA Model 26.

Pics please. All 3 def model 26. You just have to look at the lugwork and special frame fittings to rule out being Modernes.
I have both sitting in the garage in original paint
The model 26 lugs look like Lenton lugs, the Moderne is quite ornate in comparison. I would like either. The Moderne is a bit rough - I’m doing some framework before it goes for paint but here are some pics I have in an album.
as you can see - it’s v different
That ‘s great - thanks for the infoLooking like the same frame with similar number system. Some of the special build Raleigh's for Managers and employee's use initials and either date of birth or date of built.

Many thanks for your post - I’ll def be in touch with any queries. At the mo I’m fairly on top of things but ive been doing this long enough to know all could change rapidlyHi, I was watching that one, was thinking of having a bid too but reason got the better of me! A good pick up, nice frame, nice wheels, correct stem, correct seat pin and looks like the correct clip headset (although the ali lubrication washer is missing).
I already have 3 Model 26 RRAs, the one in the attached pic is frame number 1318FS, I also remember 1336FS being sold on Ebay last year.
The 50s RRAs didn't always seem to follow Raleighs "generally accepted" yearly frame numbering system, it appears to me that the earlier frame numbers did but later on random RRA specific batch numbering took over. As no records appear to exist for the randoms it's nigh on impossible to put an exact year of manufacture to them.
I've spent a few years researching the Model 26 and tracking down original RRA parts (not easy) I don't know your plans for the bike but if you've any questions I'd be pleased to help.

Thanks for yr interest but no , the Moderne is quite different. I’ve just posted some pics later in this threadIs it not a RRA Moderne, late 50's?
