Hi, always fancied one of these myself. There were a few different versions of the Kalahari
one with the 1992 spec frame in Raleigh`s own branded chromoly, a `93 spec one with the same frame material with shot in seat stays, rigid with a Girvin flexistem, also the Deore LX version with the Rockshox mag and Reynolds K2 frameset, and maybe another?
I think there is one in my 1993 brochure (the mint green cover).

That would be great to see you don’t see many of the K2 series 2 kalahari’s

No you don't, always struck me as a parts bin special using up what they had left over.
Last year there was a k2 Kalahari 15 1/2" frameset on ebay for ages before it sold, wish I'd bought it now.

I was watching the same frame was running for a good while. If it where a little bigger I would of snapped it up

Finally Out of storage going to be a little winter project finally decided on upgrading the groupset to Lx thinking laser 400 rims and a few period bits of bling

Anyone have any info on service kits for the series 2 Rockshox. Believe there Mag 20 ?

I just bought one of these on Monday, £15 and almost like new. Not your spec though. It's got the Raleigh cromo frame and the decals say Shimano C10 but has m550 lx chainset shifters and rear mech and Dx cantis also girvin flexstem. At 19" is a bit big for me so might move it on.

Thats a bargain! is it a series 1 or 2 ? Thats my plan with mine over the winter upgrading to a full LX Groupset and a few other bits of 90,s bling

It's a series 2 with the shot in seat stays but not Reynolds K2, still got the original Cheng shin tyres same as those fitted to. Summits etc. admittedly I bought it for parts and it was only 5 minutes away.
