Profile Al cranks?

H@l9000

I've seen and owned the bombproof steel bmx style cranks made by profile racing, but until now I've never seen traditional aluminum profile mtb cranks.... Does anyone happen to have any info on model name or # on these, or know where I might find a replacement non-drive side crank? I'm striking out (sorry for the bad pic. I'll take a better one tomorrow)

Thanks, I would never have found that. The sose are definitely them. At least now I can call them something other than my Profile mystery cranks ...
Finding a single loose replacement is going to be a tough task I'm sure!

So is Bikepro a dead retailer? Seems like the info is pretty dated and there is no email or contact information that so can find.....

Sorry, I've missed to answer.
BikePro was a mail order in US, roughly from 1990 onwards, ran mainly Frank and Susan Savage and in combination with a store in Santa Rosa called Pedal Pusher. They went out of business in 1997.
They spend quite some efforts on nice photos and an objective description, if you like a catalog of cool bike stuff. I'm using their old pages or an archive from wayback-machine of their old website from time to time to look up specific products.

While talking about Profile Cranks,
I've found meanwhile a bit more information

First of all, do not mix up Profile Racing with Profile Design, the latter one was know for innovative handlebars, bottle cages etc.
Profile Racing was a bike company with clear roots in BMX sport

Below is a ad from 1983 of a nice BMX crank

The brand is still around, https://www.profileracing.com/
but too me, there is not a lot in common with the earlier US based company from 80ties and 90ties.

Non-BMX cranks seem to be rare.

Just came recently across about a GT labled crank, this was used for 1996 GT LTS-DH kits.

I was told, and that fits also to the footnote at the 1996 tech shop catalog page below, that those cranks had been produced by Profile.

No clue but curious to learn if other GT labled Aluminium crank sets for square bottom brackets have been also produced by Profile?
Like this one?

Here is a set I have on a Mongoose Amplifier. I saved these for years until the right bike came along. Now I have an Amp B3 so might be swapping all of the parts over to it and sell the Mongoose. Not sure what's up with the chain not engaging, will need to get the bike down and look into that.
