dont do that, its 90% garunteed to get rusty. laquer doesnt stick to bare metal- just paint

i have a friend who refurbishes alloy wheels and he has laquer that will stich to polished alloy and has a 2 year guarantee. i cant see why it wont work on steel. i might try it on my saracen that nobody wants to buy!

sounds pretty good if you dont mind getting it re-done every couple years...... just dont do it yourself with a spray-can

I have a very old pro-fro with a factory clearcoat.. . shows up the welds real nice, and the braze on cable guides and stuff. But you do get little snailtrails of rusty marks where the water gets in in any tiny scratch. One for dry days only. . .
