Who's got the biggest c*ck then?

unfortunately theres a whole bunch of cyclists for whom the market has wandered else where to get its cash.

Marketing man does not see us as a 'growth potential' as we all fall into disrepair and die off. ;)

I get were you are coming from, but orange do spend alot of money advertising in mags, so if the mags didnt rate them they wouldnt advertise with them, more money a company spends with a mag the better reveiws they will get, thats what i believe anyway. i suppose i just do not like common bikes, i dont really think its anything to do with the quality, but when i see alot of a certain bike i just think, AAHHHHHH another one of them and take a dislike to them.
Yes i agree trek are becoming common, and when large companies start discounting bikes it kind of like puts the product down, you see alot of new bikes nearly half price and that to me is wrong, and it doesnt help when you come to try and sell it, you end up paying full wack for a bike lets say £3K somewere then flogs em out at the back end of the year for 2K your £3K bike in under a year becomes worth £1K

Does that mean the Blue Pig's going in the bin when every Tom, Dick and Harry has them then mate? Heard nothing but good reports about Ragley so far so who are they paying off?? ;) :D

I am very biased though, as my bike history will back up. (but I have riden lots of others).

The blue pig will never sell aswell as a specialized full sus nor ever be as popular as a full sus, what i have in my Bluepig you could get a decentish full sus for same money, and most people would rather have a full sus than a burly hard hitting hardtail, the on one will be far more popular than the bluepig so i have nothing to worry about, i think everone raves on about the bluepig because Brant is involved with them more than anything else
Again i wouldnt ever consder an on one although they are nearly half price of a bluepig, purely because its the OBVIOUS CHOICE, the on one will be the specialized of the hardtail market

Would hardly call an Orange a popular obvious choice!.

They have got 10/10 for the last zillion years, dont reinvent the wheel year after year to the bikes detriment, are similar priced to many mass produced "piles", give a fantastic ride due to a build that works, they are British, from my home town and the only thing built in this country that somewhat holds its value!!!

I would never buy a derivative bike just to be niche.

If we dont see tonnes of 5s it would be the death of our only real decent sized manufacturer.

Up the 5 !, keep em coming

LOL let me guess...................you have a 5 ;)
By god man, they have rocketed in price and dropped the spec!!!!!!!!

I really love the good old classic retro bikes of the past, i have owned various retro classics but at the end of the day if you want a bike you can ride day in day out short rides all day rides, you just can not beat a new designed frame, im speaking for the steel Ragley bluepig here as its a hradtail and thats what this topic is all about, and im sure 99% of people on here would really have to agree if they rode 1.
The new Ragley Bluepig is a stunning loomking frame its has so much caracter ( how ever you spell it ) flat bits angled bits gusset bits pointy bits, its a box standard looking frame, eg 2 triangles, but with modern looks.
Im going to post my pics of my finished built up bluepig for all to see, if i took off the transfers and put the frame up on here nobody would be able to tell if it was an old or new frame, to me its all about the ride, i ride very aggressivly and thats why iv got a bluepig, although id never turn up to a retro bike meet on it id have to come on the Pace or Clockwork beacuase thats what retrobikes is all about have fun on old bikes, bikes have come on like cars have come on, which for is for the better.
P.S neil g........ Brant has produced an amazing frame with the Ragley, its a 873 steel triple butted internaly and externaly frame how can yoy say thats crap, UNLIKE PACE you cant ride of a curb without the cracking!!!!!!
and they were probably the most expensive bikes made back in the early 80s, ragley are made in the best frame build shop in Taiwan if the frames were made over here they would probably cost a hell of a lot more, thanks to the taiwan workshop they are cheaper

Not saying the Taiwanese are crap at making frames but most brands cheap steel hardtails etc. are made by the same people out there.

As for the Pace I just don't think it's that's interesting...if I had money like that to buy a frame I'd be calling up Roberts to build something unique :D

I like the look of that Ragley, doesn't need a triple chainset though....more suited to 1X9 with a chainguard/chainkeeper if it's a hardcore build
