Yeah, Pace are certainly more future proof!
That's really useful - they're AB model. Now they're in-hand I agree - crown anodised - the brace dull and will take a good polishing. Thanks for the lead re: elastomers - I whipped them apart at the end of work today and they are well and truly 'gone'! I need to have a good measure-up but I will be needing a much longer 1" threaded steerer. I'll pm when I've identified what I need.Pop a pic of the Pace fork on here for id. Pace crowns were mostly anodised, some in colours. If it is the fork in the pic at the thread start(1994 RC35 XCS) then the bridge/brace is raw ally & not anodised, will polish up if needed. Earlier Tube bridge RC35 bridge was painted, then went to chrome. MXC/D bridges were anodised.
I have full range of 1” & 1 1/8” steerers in stock at the mo. so can help with threaded or ahead.
Elastomers and single lip seals are available from John Deverill on here & I recommend them.
