orange sub5 build + other oranges

Deff a Sub5, think its the single colour and kit that makes it look a bit more chunky. Used to be blue swing arm, white frame with std blue manitou xc forks.

Nice collection, but think the Sub5 would look better with some single crown forks.

Orange is a great colour, looks like a good respray and the repo graphics look super.

The two orange oranges were bead blasted and powder coated, managed to get the airo frame to half decent finish just with a compound and polish.

Still got the std sub5 Manitou forks (100mm travel i think?)

You sure this isnt an old patriot?

Definitely, the swing arm and downtube on the old patriots were way chunkier than that.

Just aquired an old orange patriot 7+ and as said much chunkier, but the shorter swing patriot had a very similar if not the same rear shock mount on the frame as the sub 5 so can see where your coming from.

Well thanks to cyfa2809 have some single crown Z150's coming for the Sub5, JrT will go on next project.

Giving up smoking is not saving me any money just keeps being blown on old oranges

Yeah stoptober, should save £200 a month (20 a day). Well cant smoke for rest of month as spent money on bike bits now

Having a bit of change of direction with the Sub5 as now have a Patriot 7+ for mucky use, fitting the Sub5 with single crown Z150 forks and a pair of maxxis hookworm's for messing about on tarmac.
