Tonight’s job was trying to save the Ti Flight saddle. Didn’t have any great “before” shots but it’s pretty good now. It wasn’t boot polish but a leather shoe dye and the colour seems to have been locked in with some leather cream and scotchgaurd. Still, probably best to wear black shorts the first time...
Tonight’s job was to derust the stem. All the rust is gone and it looks pretty good (foil and coke) but there are admittedly a few pitting imperfections. It’ll do fine though, it looks better than it does in the picture
Sadly the Orange logo was never going to survive the abrasion...
This might just be working, the spontex is working better than wire wool or aluminium foil and none of them seem to be damaging the nickel plate. Like the stem there’s a little bit of pitting that’ll never be 100%, but not far off
