Orange Mr XC 16"

Dirt Disciple
Im considering selling my unfinished Orange Mr XC build.. as I haven't finished it and don't really need it, even if I do finish building it. I bought it as a relatively low spec build brand new and have never ridden it, as I removed the low spec parts to make way for a decent set up.. and it's been sat around doing owt.

Spec is as follows:

Frame: 16", fox vanilla float R rear shock (never ridden 1999).
Fork: Manitou SX-E - light use, still sweet no leaks etc.
Headset: Chris King Nothreadset 1 1/8" Red.
Stem: Thomson Elite 25.4/100mm (although I do have a 110mm that could possibly be swapped).
Bars: Orange Hotrod flats.
Seatpin: Thomson Elite 27.2mm.
Seatclamp: Hope Q/R Silver 31.8mm.
Seat: Selle Italia SLR XP 165g.
F.Wheel: Hope Suspension 36H on Mavic XC517 Dt Revs (X3), Hope Q/R Skewer.
R.Wheel: Royce Ti XC 36H (recently serviced, new pawl and spring kit 1 new cartridge on the drive side, the axle was sent back to Cliff at Royce to be modified for his "new pawl lubing system", plungers supplied) on Mavic XC517 DT Comps (X3), Hope Q/R skewer.
Tyres: Ritchey Speedmax Semi Slick folders.
Cassette: XT 11-32 with Sram PC69 chain (reasonable wear).
Cranks: Middleburn Duo 175mm 32/42 (iirc), Middleburn S/E, stainless Crankbolts (not shown in pic).
B/B: UN72 Square taper (Think it's a 113).
Shifters: old-skool XT 9 speed rapidfires.
F.Mech: LX blue era, 31.8mm non multi-fit.
R.Mech: XTR mid cage.
Brake Levers: Avid Single Digit 7's.
Needs a pair of brake calipers, cables and pedals. I think I have the orange grips somewhere. Sorry about the shoddy phone pics!

Nice looking machine.

Hmm....I was thinking that too, the more I look the more it seems like a regular bike with a massive swingarm tacked on, but that's probably just 'cos of seeing so many moderns with funny, bendy top tubes and linkage rears. You don't really see many about, I guess it's one of the rarer Oranges and could be built into a pretty light (23lb) ride with the right bits, I think the rear is thinner grade than the DH bikes they did at the time...sorry, it's not a discussion, nice bike, free bump & GLWS ;)
