I put a stronglight triple chainset 28x38x48 with the 115mm recommended BB and the chainset is touching the chainstay. Anyone know why this is happening? Spa cycles assured me this was the right BB. I believe the chainset is for a road bike is that makes any diference. Bloody annoying!!!

Re:

I have that chainset on my cross check, the rest of my drive is LX. I had to go for 118mm bb to get the chainline right. The stronglight is a road/touring chainset which is what Spa cycles specialise in. It works perfectly well once the bb length is matched to the rest of your stuff.

Would 118mm be ok with my bike? or should I phone spa cycles? :D And thanks for the reply

I phoned up spa cycles who advised me to take a bb out of another bike and try the chainset. It worked and its a 122.5mm length axle. I ordered a un55 today
