Old, small fox shock, odd mount, any better options??

Right, well I hadn't actually got to ride the Raven much since the snow/ice, been doing lots of road riding. Went out yesterday and while the shock feels a little industrial (can't explain but that is a good thing, not as smooth moving as softer fox shocks if that makes sense), it works beautifully and I have no problems climbing whatsoever.

I don't constantly look down to see what the shock is doing and certainly don't feel the bike bobbing much at all. Pretty well all the power I put in to going forward/uphill goes through the wheels so that combined with not feeling like the bike is bobbing has to be a good thing. I am happy with the purchase and it will be going over to my Purpleen frame shortly :).

U use the shock on the uphill settings always unless going for a mad downhill blat. Did a couple of bonkers downhills yesterday and again, it just worked. I find it is well matched to the original Headshock but the rebound from the Headshick is faster.
