Well, although it was only a 36 mile round trip, on road, the ride was very hilly. I was running about 210psi on the shock and had it set to Uphill setting. I was less than 2 mins slower each way on the Raven compared to the Voodoo, and the weather was pretty pants... I was under the impression that the damping switch was a 5 position click type job but mine certainly isn't so I am going to email Risse to double check.
It was pretty solid, even at the other end of the damping settings, it feels far more dampened/hardened on compression/slower on rebound than the Fox shock that was on there, not 100% sure that is better for offroad yet though. Climbed very well on the uphill setting, I actually feel that I climbed a number of the hills faster on this than on the Voodoo, which is running City Jets...... Although the Raven doesn't feel like a bike that flexes under load at all, the shock certainly didn't make it feel any worse, does feel very solid under out of the saddle antics.
Although I miss the 'comfy old sofa' feel of the fox, I am pretty sure this is an improvement, I just hope that it softens up a little bit more for me and I will be a most happy bunny.
