Now, isn't retrobike a real community?

29 here, and a old bike geek

I really should get out more.......

nah

too much fun here!

44 and counting, and I echo the sentiments expressed above, great crowd here.

I've been riding MTB since 1992 or so. But as a kid I crashed cobbled up dirt bikes in and out of pits and mounds on building sites as far back as 1972. Still in love with modern MTB as well, but since stumbling onto RB my bike project count has exploded! And not moderns I might add.

I got some nice karma parts on here a while ago and have been spreading it a bit since, not just here, and it feels very natural.

Enjoy!!

Turned 26 earlier this month. Just filing for my engineering license.

I really enjoy this site. Even though I generally play the modern biker's devil's advocate (my 1985 bike's a junky commuter, my 1999 isn't really 'retro', and I've DH'ed a bit), the people on this site all seem great and there's mutual respect. It's cool to see so many people into a hobby - obviously our old Konas and GTs had quite an impact on us.

Ah, so you got Mikkel's Spider? I got a 5.5 from him some years ago, and a nice Fox fork more recently. He always has nice stuff! :D What was the ti hardtail you got?

I love the sense of community within RB, the members I have exchanged information, opinions, a couple of disagreements along the way, all make up the unique trust we have with each other. I know *rseholes sometimes turn up and ruin it for some members but they are quickly uncovered when they do. I have made good friends and met up with old ones all thanks to RB.

Thank you RB, I am happier but much poorer than I was before I discovered you all.

BTW I'm 44
