Now, isn't retrobike a real community?

This forum sucks - I came here for gardening tips - now look at me...
Brilliant!

I'm new around here but loving it already. It's a great place to geek out when I should be working :p

I love how this thread has turned from "Isn't RB great?" to "Look, I'm not THAT old!"

(Seeing as you ask, 32. MTBing since 1992.)
Youre not old enough to be on this thread be gone with you child ;) ;) ;)
Just noticed you're dearly departed list ,bloody hell I'm glad I don't live next door to you !!

26 here and desperately fighting the onset of age. gonna have a very silly year.

Yet another reason to hang here - I get called a child! And it's because of my actual age rather than my behavioural age!

Yeah, I've been pretty unlucky with the thieving elements here in the 'Nam. That is spread over 9 years (and 3 break-ins) though. My favourite is the '99 Cinder Cone, dubbed "the bike that won't stay stolen" - I've had to collect it from Police custody twice now!

Still, it is time to move to pastures new...

Wow, a lot of 40's

Mind you I guess there would be... our bikes are in their late teens / early twenties :D

There really is a great spirit of community on Retrobike... no bitching or slagging each other off like I have seen a lot on another MTB forum.

Oh yes, I am 43 and 1/4 ;)

Ride and smile, [even when you are old]

Chaser.

not too much smiling Ned... you'll get flies stuck in your teeth [If you can pedal fast enough that is] ;)

Chaser.

Teeth? Wot teeth? They only slow yer down an' get in the way of yer breathin'

I'm 34, pushing 60, started with BMX, a bit of skateboarding and then progressed to mountain bikes way back when. Have had several bikes, Specialized Stumpy, GT Zaskar LE, Caygill hardtail,Foes LTS 16", a second Foes LTS 16, Scott Octane DH, Spooky Project X, Intense M1, Intense M1, Intense M1 (three different versions) and now on my own Development Bikes hardtail.

Waiting for a Spooky Supertouch CX to land and all going according to plan a Kona Lava Dome (at last - hoorah!!). Am being sorely tempted with a new DH rig set up but the frame is TBC.

Stumbled on to RB through a friend's recommendation and found it all to be a really easy going place. And obviously all the muse from other people's builds. Some of them (most?!) are absolutely stunning.

You wait until you are old yessir, see if you're still smiling then... - I do still try to ride and smile though (well, I do the riding bit anyway  )
