Not everyones cup of tea, but show us your retro HOTRODS!

The Roberts works like that. I like it. a good mix of older and newer parts is a pretty good choice imho, the 'retro' stuff is often only superseded due to fashion or incompatibility (inbuilt!), not because it works less well, or is heavier. The cooks seatpost I have on my main bike is fantastic, best post ive ever used. And then there are parts like Salsa/DKG flip offs that have been around unchanged for ages, and they still sell, they are popular, they havent been 'improved', because you couldnt!

I rambled there didnt I?

Well I put this together to get it going so I could ride.

All the old stuff is still here for when I need to put it back on back modern components and modernish forks.
Cables need cutting and one outer needs trimming I already know ;)
Rear rim will be getting changed to match the front.

Some awesome bikes. I really like the idea of having all the good looks of the old school, yet the performance and reliability of modern running gear. Think we'll see alot more in the future.
