not a road bike but

Re:

I had one on sale on ebay for ages about two or three years ago for a couple of hundred pounds but no one was really interested - even though they are quite rare in the uk. It ended up being donated to a cycle museum in the end.

To be honest it was no great loss - it was a hideous thing. To get the wheels in and out involved flexing the fork legs and rear stays open which would have been fine originally but not after many years of UV exposure where it has gone slightly brittle and constantly felt on the edge of snapping. The handle bars also had so much flex in them when out the saddle it felt a little dangerous to ride and the cable routing through the frame was terrible - especially as I need to replace inners and outer on mine. The only thing going for it were the cool looking wheels.

Probably should give the designers some credit to have the foresight to put a lifting handle in the frame structure.

Presumably to help throw it in a roadside skip.
