What size is the frame?

The seller listed it as a 17.5". I'm not sure how Alpinestars measure their frames but it looks smaller to me.
It does look smaller in the pic. A 17.5" would equate to a Med. but it looks smaller than that. Maybe its just the perspective?

I've got a small (15.5" - 16") Cro Mega and when you put the 2 next to each other (see below), you can see that the Al Mega is slightly bigger - look at the position of the bottle cage and the angle of the seatstays:

I agree. Taking those points into account, it must be larger. Maybe its also an illusion as the lower chain-stay is raised on the Alpinestar model.

Oooh, excited now :)

Just had an email from DH-Hell to say that it's on the van for delivery to me today.

Will update my thread with some nice pictures tonight, taken in this amazing autumn evening sunshine!

All I've got to do now is get through the next 7 hours of work.... Tick tock, tick tock....

.....steady now! Trust me, as soon as that neon glow comes from that bike box, you'll be grinning from ear to ear.
Was the same when I opened up 'A Carton of Orange' and the glow from my spank'in new Neon green Orange Five lit up the room. They must have packed it wearing sunglasses!!

Looking forward to this evenings pics!

Cheers,

DHL just arrived :)

I've opened the box for a sneaky peek. Lush!

It's every bit as good as it looks in the photos - the Fisher Fat Trax tyres still have the residue of the releasing agent on them

I'm going to knock off work at 3.30 and get it home so I can start to put it together. Unfortunately we're picking our new car up tonight at 5pm so I won't have a lot of time beforehand.

Hopefully I'll be able to get it finished when I get back and I can get some photos of it in the evening sun.

Well chuffed. It's only taken me 19 years to get my paws on one
