I'm very excited.

This NOS beauty should soon be coming my way. It's over in Canada at the moment and I'm just sorting out postage.

If I'd received it in time, I would have entered it in this month's neon special B.O.T.M!

Obviously, I've probably just jinxed everything now by getting over-excited and posting pictures before I've sorted out postage, but I'm like a kid with a new toy and I have to show it to my friends! I've wanted an Al Mega for years and years. And now I've finally (hopefully) got one. Let me know what y'all think!

Ps. Those 'interesting' Profile bar things are coming off!

Very nice! There can't be many left in that condition now. Try the Profiles first. They are utterly brilliant in every way. I still use mine now. They offer a myriad of different hand positions, they protect your hands riding through brambles etc and you can even use them like tri bars if you are in a hurry.

If you don't want them however....

It's costing me just as much to ship it as it is to buy it, so if I ever came to sell it, I'd never get my money back, but a bike like this doesn't come along too often, and it's the one bike I remember lusting after when I was 12 years old and trying to work out how many paper rounds I'd have to do to be able to afford one!

Anyway, what price do you put on a childhood dream?!

Naaah......don't apologise!.....a new arrival like that would excite me too, it's the nearest feeling I get to being 10 at Christmas given I'm now a middle aged man steering a family of 5 through a recession......enjoy the moment!....

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about getting it! I've been struggling with my money for the past 3-4 years and finally things have sorted themself out - so I'm making the most of it while it lasts!

Great Stuff Barney.... know how you feel about getting all excited over your latest bike and wanting to show it off to your mates! Looks the schnutts. But then I am Biased!....If it hadn't have been for the 'neon special' botm, mine would not be finished!
When I got my AL-Mega frame from GT-Steve - had a picture in my mind of how I wanted it to be....Inspired by the bike I used to lust over at my local bike shop, Get pedall'in in Colchester - unfortunately now long gone ( like many Al- Mega DX's! ) Going to get a 'Get Pedall'in' shop decal made up as the cherry on top of the cake!

Another great example. Good to see it's already in the botm too... that's three now! ( like buses these Al-Mega DX's in fluro! )

I've been a bit cheeky by putting it in BOTM, but it fits the category and it's *almost* mine (just not physically at my house yet!), so in my mind, it counts.

I didn't get chance to look at the other nominees as I was in a bit of a rush (on my work computer... tut tut :roll, but I'll go and take a cheeky look now

Those tyres are far too old for the bike - I will be happy to sort you out with some more appropriate ones in exchange though.
