Gil's the man to talk to. He has superb pubs near his house and always gives them his full support.
One of my favourites is the New Inn in Cropton. They have a brewary round the back in the old coach house and do several cracking ales from a dark rich bitter to a sweet pale ale. Monksmans slaughter and Blackout being too notable offerings.
They have a very infamous Real Ale Festival every November which i'm thinking of going to this year. I might pester Gil for a spot on his sofa
