I've been using the eBay ones from Deckas, Snail etc for a while now.
Honestly, they've lasted just as long as the Hope Retainer ring and Race Face rings I've had previously, and I've not dropped the chain with them. What more do you need?

+1

Black or Red as cheap as £5 in 32t.

Any colour/configuration less than £10...

Another here, on my trail bike and on the kids bikes too.

Some 'guiderings' are, some aren't.
Useful to know, will check. The ones I have are new, direct mount and hopefully the type that are....

Forgot to reply after use. Fitted the race ti in the end as the graphics were more subtle and it was lighter and looked slightly better machined. Initially ran it on its own, performed perfectly and not dropped a chain or had any issues. As I was using a chainsaw bought as 2x, but clearly could run 3x, I didn't like seeing the exposed carbon spider tab edges so fitted a bash guard. No issues either. I would recommend the race ti. I'm sure the dekas ring would be fine, may slot one on my sons bike as it is set up as 1x but not using narrow wide. He hasn't dropped a chain either despite this, I'm sure the clutch mech helps of course.

I've been happy with Works components too but went oval , my knees love the egg and when I took a round ringed bike out I really noticed the difference , oval convert for me now .
