Name my frame / Is this anything?

I picked up this spray bomb victim for the parts earlier this year. It's quite light, and seems to be of decent quality. So I'm wondering if it's anything...

hmmm...has a nice bracing fillet under the downtube...and well-designed structured chain stays with good long top tube. Cable guides not in the right place to be an Orange. What's the serial number format?

The rear brake is far more interesting

Unfortunately your frame has a hoofing great crack in the headtube and looks like its already been repaired by somehow welding a headset cup in place.

The rear brake is interesting as well. So any information is welcomed.
I haven't broken the bike down yet. But it appears to me that the crack is in the paint, and the headset cup, but not in the head tube itself. Also, I don't see any welding in that area - just shoddy spray paint.

Although very similar to MRC, not quite the same. Sure someone knows though..
The brake pad mounts look close, but on th emrc it looks like they extend to the outside.

Think the brakes are controltech.

There does look to be a crack in the lower part of the head tube. Hope is just in the paint.
