The holes in the dropout are for one of these

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q ... ZgH0G77sQ_

So no earlier than 1977 I am afraid but still looks a quality frameset
So no body could of drilled and tapped 2 holes at a later date....?listen I’m going to go with the experts I rang and spoke to an employee at the shop who had all the records and looking at my email pics confirmed 1951,they themselves do alterations that you want all day long including Brazing of cable eyes, bottle holder holes altering so it can take modern group sets etc etc so I’m sure it’s not beyond somebody to drill 2 little holes....

Why ask for information or opinions when you have obviously made your own mind up. I won't bother answering a question from you again

I can only opologise if you feel I’ve upset you mate I was getting confused as the information I was receiving on here from you guys was completely opposite from what I was getting from Ellis Briggs shop, but I’ve since realised you guys seem to know more than the shop and I was getting disheartened as the Ellis Briggs reality slipped away...but I’ve got a holdsworth so all is not lost so I reiterate I oppologise to you or anyone else I may off upset or peed off cheers nic

Here's a nice list of Holdsworth models from Norman Kilgariff :) lists models and links to the catalogue for most years
Nice bikes  just wish the price list was current

Yep, fab source of Holdworth bikes. Norman passed away but his website is still maintained. I eventually found my mystery 1981 Holdsworth Classic on his website. Built as a bike would cost £2500 in todays money.

Is your frame there?
