Re:

And the final one for the day the 1990 explosif :D

First up those splashbacks are coming off, they just look wrong  The black nos darts and smokes are going on instead,i'm going for stealth look :) Next the freehub needs to be sorted it's making some nasty noises  I'm nicking the xt Comp pedals off my team stumpy and switching the brake pads to xt m-system pads then it's finally finished :D

Splashbacks gone,Ritchey Z-Max instead,XT comp pedals, that's it finally finished

Well finally i've managed to collect all the nos parts so it was time to bring the explosif out of hibernation :D I'd always planned on having this bike built with new deore ll parts, just didn't think it would take as long to find them. I'm also planning on building the 1990 cindercone at the same time as this, hopefully i'm picking that up from the shop tonight after having another headset fitted.

So here's a quick pic as it is now..

Re:

That is a nice stable you got going there. All gorgeous bikes built with period correct parts. Only a few people in the states take care like that.
It looks like the UK is the place to be if you want to see older MTB,s done right.

Stunning!

So ... which one's getting dirty first? :D

Cheers mate :)
The 89 explosif is still being overhauled so you'd think it'd be the 90 explosif but it's the 90 cindercone i've been on the most,it's great fun to ride.

Thanks mate,i like the challenge of finding the correct year parts for that particular model of bike and then maybe add a few subtle upgrades along the way, then seeing it all come together it's a good feeling.
