Did a little start up vid for the Pontiac last Sunday, back in the garage with the front suspension stripped  , all came apart amazingly easy though.

Sounds more like a plane than a car! I have to say I personally prefer a smoother "silenced" exhaust note myself - I think this would get a bit tiresome pretty quickly.

Nice to see a car again after all these blooming mopeds that have infected this thread :)

Re:

Just passed a La Ferrari stuck in a slow filter lane in Dundee. Absolutely stunning, but was unfortunately running on electric, so didn't even get to experience the engine noise at idle :(
Wouldn't fancy driving over a fag paper though, roof want even level with my windows!

Supercar day at Knockhill, there was the LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and some 675's, Loads of R8's and plenty other Ferrari's

How do I know? My big headed pal was there with his - did he think to invite me or offer me his Atom or 430 to drive?? no...... kn0b!

Still the pics looked good, loads on the Autoglymm facebook page

Supercar day at Knockhill? - that explains why there was so much exotica on the road as we headed to the Audax at Dalkeith.

I was puzzled why there were so many people driving cars you couldn't fit a few bicycles into. Thought it might be poor folk who couldn't afford a bike. :)

Sounds broken...... but then most american muscle does......

Truth be told, the engines were generally long lived.

The car actually sounds pretty good, albeit the exhaust perhaps needs a look at?

Hard to tell over laptop speakers from a simple mic recording..

Awesome machine!

For Christ sake its a American V8 Muscle Car if it didn't sound like that I wouldn't buy one, it sounds delicious
I believe the Ford Ka is a bit more "silenced" :?

Yeah, but that's not a V8 or smooth which was the operative word... I've driven hundreds or more likely thousands of miles with an American derived V8 with an almost straight through exhaust and it was pretty tiresome after a while.

Rasping, banging engines just don't appeal to my ears. I love V8s, just prefer them with a normal working exhaust!

Each to his own, I love the car and look forward to updates as the build goes on - it's not like I have to hear it unless I choose to anyway :)

The day I fitted a stainless exhaust to my Rover Sd1 V8 was the same day I refused to leave the A1 underpass for hours, just gently revving and listening to the noise.

Straight 6 Merc diesel noise leaves me a bit tingly too
