Come one, come all to the birthplace of Scotland and sample the best I can grudgingly be bothered to share with you.

Yes, Macretro has finally woken from it's 23/24 hibernation in time for one last (first?) hurrah before (or maybe just after) winter sets in.

Carnoustie, Sunday 10th November 9.30 for 10am start.

20-30 miles mixed surface xc ride. Roads, woods, tracks, cafés, cake and probably mud. Usual relaxed pace and being near the coast, not much in the way of climbing. Bike choice up to you, but expect to have brought the wrong bike for at least half the ride, no mater what you bring.

20-30 miles! In my current condition that might just kill me 😂. No promises but I do enjoy a retrobike ride.

I would love to come along but,........... unfortunately I head off on my holidays on the Sunday. Have a great time and don't break anything except the MacRetro record for slowest average speed for a group ride.😉

He's alive!!!!!
How's life in the wild west?

At times dull and very often wet but generally pretty good. Not cycling much though as there are few roads compared to central belt and cycling can get very repetitive plus of course the rain, did I mention the rain ?
Most of the MTB trails I have found are death wish steep and techy so I don't ride those and the gravel is little better than the roads. The past time sports around here are marine based so not my cup of tea and I hate hill walking. Scenery is spectacular, people are friendly and the foods good plus my dogs keep me out and about.
I will force myself to cycle through winter but I am definitely moving to the dark side in that I ride the roads only. Hope you lot are still getting out once in a while but I do detect a slackening of resolve in retrobike as a whole, maybe had it's day😁

Any update? Did anyone actually die? It wouldn't be a MacRetro ride without at least one auld biker taking a tumble 😅.
More importantly, was the cake any good??

I managed to get out for an hour around Culloden woods, not very exciting, but better than nothing I guess.
