Most suitable gearing for single speed

take your geared bike and stay in one gear. If it's too high shift down and vice versa, when it's right use that ratio for your singlespeed.

This is what I did. It means you can find a gearing you're comfortable with.

I run 34T front and 16 rear

Recently tried 18 rear but found it to "easy"

With my set up it's perfect for single track and ok on hills, though any mentally steep hills may have issues
