Some staggering prices for NOS various models .What's with the hype .

Please enlighten me .

Retro Rubbish imo

Collectable value is rarely about function though, sometimes it's comparative quality, often it's rarity.

Modolos were light and kind-of-worked.

But the yay-sayers are like Brooks Saddle/xt thumbies/ brompton owners.

whilst Modolo be both the family name and the company name when one gets back far eno' the products were sold as OMMAS (no relation to OMAS) brand -

Their sintered brake blocks were a step above Campagnolo - in wet conditions. The levers and calipers not so, having a somewhat spongey feel in comparison to Record.

The Kronos where great for TT’s as small light & pretty aero but braking was useless but then in a TT it’s about going fast no slowing down..
