i pay a lot of tax for my silly large engined car, does this mean i have more right to use the road than someone in a fiesta? plenty of cars available now that pay zero tax
You don't have any rights to use your car on the roads.

thats another of my pet peeves.....

"my rights" this and "my rights" that....

we dont have rights, we have RESPONSIBILITIES to other people and society!

As a car driver, I have a responsibility to pay for the pollution that my car causes, the damage/wear/tear that it causes, to be cautious and respectful of other road users such as cars and cyclists....

As a cyclist, I have a responsibility to be aware of the dangers I am facing and take suitable precautions,, a responsibility to other road users and pedestrians, etc etc etc

NOT "its my RIGHT to drive a car/vote/have a family/access to health services etc

the world is becoming too self obsessed and selfish for my liking

That's the thing about rights - they don't come or are increased with money, status or anything else - everybody has them, and to quote or US cousins, they should be "inalienable".

You have a limited privilege to use your car on the road, but your rights apply to things like pedestrian access and cycling (probably include horse road use, there, too).

indeed...

Of the 346 people polled, ignoring the control question 'Who is Boy Burning?':

36% stated that they agreed with this article

46% stated that they disagreed with this article

98% stated that they agreed that LGF is great

42% were wearing socks that day

0.25% were 'commando'

28.5% were unsure what day it was

46% liked the colour 'sunset yellow' but hated the colour 'midnight blue'

11% liked Marmite on toast

I do think that your marmite on toast figure is non-representative, and that technically.. I'm commando... so if anyone else is.. that calls your figure into question. (Was I polled? Sounds painful....)

He's absolutely right - the Metro is indeed a Daily Blackmail (Associated Newspapers Ltd. to be exact) offering. Nuff said.

if only Diana were here. she'd no what to do.

Would it involve Brussels/asylum seekers/"Elf 'n' Safety" (as Grade-A turd Richard Littlejohn always refers to it)/the Bin Police (ditto)/PC Gone Mad[1]/house prices/something which cures and/or causes cancer? [2]
